615VGS Longest Day
After the false start due to the weather on the 25th June, 615VGS at RAF Kenley completed the annual longest day gliding program on the 2nd July 2011. By the end of the day, This involved Air Cadets from Sussex, Kent, London and Surrey Wings & a great Bar B Que at cessation of Gliding on 2nd July. The Original Target was complete 70 Gliding Induction Courses to celebrate 70 years of the ATC but, by the end of the second day, 615VGS had completed 252 launches, completing 80 Gliding Induction Courses and one Advanced Gliding Courses for good measure. Well done to all involved.
