The Red Arrows And The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight 'scoot' For Charity

The Red Arrows will swap their Hawk jets and the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight their venerable aircraft on 30 September when they set off from Lands End heading from John o' Groats on Vespa 125S scooters. They aim to complete the 1000 mile trip in 4 days and are seeking support for their 5 chosen charities (RAF Benevolent Fund, Help for Heroes, RAFA, Whizz Kids and Fly2Help)

The ride is being organised by Flt Lt Mike Ling who should have been Red 6 this year but for a flying accident earlier this year during training, which meant he could not continue flying with the Reds. However, he is still with them until October in a PR and support role. Mike is a former cadet from Biggin Hill, and the team are trying to beat the £40K they raised earlier in the year when they ran the London Marathon.

Please see the flyer below for full details on how to donate and show your support to the charities involved.
